life consumed
right now I feel like every minute I'm not working or playing FFXI, I'm wasting time. I feel like I'm wasting time right now updating this blog instead of playing FFXI. But it IS SO HARD, I am level 10 and a white mage and getting XP when I'm not in a party is SO HARD SO HARD!
This morning though, I was running around south gustaberg just minding my own business, and someone asked me to join their party. He was obviously japanese because the request was in broken english, but I decided to go ahead and join the party. I had a great time, probably more fun than I've ever had playing the game before. One of them (Slip) was a level 9 samurai and a level 4 warrior and he was totally badass, Halukaze was a level 9 Monk, and then Blanket joined later and he was a level 8 blackmage, level 4 whitemage. We started off in gustaberg but it was too easy, so we moved up to the highlands and we had a lot of close calls there. When blanket joined, we were just tearing stuff up, and getting good xp in the process. I came extremely close to hitting level 10 before I had to work. I hope they remember me and ask me to party with them again, I had a great time.

like say you got a black mage, white mage, monk, 2 warriors
Party runs around, finds a mob they wanna kill (sorry, mob means mobile, which means monster, it's MUDspeak)
Black mage initiates combat by first alerting the party on which character they're attacking, i.e.
/p Casting Bind on
/ma "Bind"
After blackmage casts bind, whitemage and blackmage unload shit i.e. Dia, Nukes (water, stone, aero), Paralyze, blind, WHATEVER FLOATS YOUR FUCKIN BOAT
Monster breaks loose from bind, runs toward mages. BOTH WARRIORS (Or one if there's on ly one) Provoke the baddie, baddie runs toward warrior miserable and blind and paralyzed and really fucking hurt already, warrior and monk start kicking monster's ass while blacky and whitey do their respective mage jobs of nuking and healing
