So JP thinks im a comment whore, but im really just been busy with school or sleeping or something. Anyways, we got Gamestop up and running, the store opened today, and I got to help get everything ready on monday and wedsday (it was a huge pain in the ass). But the store is now open, and I start my first day of REAL work tomorrow at 5, im looking forward to finaly get a feel for this job. One thing is for sure, I cant wait for all the promo stuff im gonna get for halo 2 and the nintendo DS. OH YEAH.
Yeah, but not much is going on right now, im trying out Guildwars for free, its an open beta right now till sunday, its a FREE MMORPG, but the game isnt all that special, but i've only played for an hour, and havnet played with friends. It doesnt imediatly appeal to me like ffxi does, I think its the rapidly clicking thats kinda anoying, in diablo its ok, but this is a 3d game, i guess i just expect more. But the game doesnt suck to bad, ill prolly play a lot over the weekend, get into it a bit more just to make sure there is something more to the game than what i've seen already.
thats all i got.
Link and yes it's safe for work.
Hey everyone, I've started my new job at Gamestop, and it's great. I just finished my first 2 training days at the mall location. Starting Monday I head off to the new store near Walmart Supercenter, about a mile away from my house!! Im looking forward to work at a new store, that is much bigger and nicer than the mall store i've been training in. Right now, im only hired for seasonal till around january, but since the new store is opening, some people will get to stay on the schedule, and ill have to work really hard to get to keep that position. See, the computers keep track of how much stuff I sell, and not only how much, but how much per transaction. So my goal is to sell the most MST (multiple sale transations, more than 1 item) and upsell strategy guides and game reservations. Lots of work, but im really gonna try my best to keep my job, because so far its been a blast.
Anyways, I'm going to the Decemberists show tonight, and im really freaking excited. If you havent listen to them yet, I suggest a quick, free download from soulseek :)
UPDATE: Sadly the concert was sold out, and I waited in line for over an hour to be cut off by 5 people infront of me :( :( I was very, very dissipointed.
So, a few weeks ago, after my 9 o'clock class got out, I went back to my car, that was parked at my friends house, and noticed that a COP was giving me a ticket. I knew that I was parked close to a handicap area, but not in it. See a handicap facility is right next door to my friends house, and they have a cemented area in the grass, right off the road for their handicap bus. So, I parked BEHIND the concrete zone, in the grass. So I went up to the officer and asked him WHY I was getting a ticket, if im parked behind the cement, an obviously stated zone for the handicap bus. He said "Your parking in a handicap zone." I said, "But im not on the cement?" he said "Well I got a compaint from them" he points at pathways and 2 wheel chair fucks are watching the cop giving me a ticket.... So I said, "Where can I park then?" He said "I dont know", so im thinking in my head "if he doesnt know where I can park, then HOW can he know where im not allowed to park?" So, he told me I could take the ticket to court, and he was going to Iraq, and he wouldnt be there to contest the ticket, so I would get off. This may be a slight plus, BUT he was very rude, and didnt care, and seemed very mad about me asking him questions. ANYWAYS, so im really mad, and the next day I take my 75 dollar ticket to the municipal court office to talk to someone. I brought my digital camera, filmed the area, and took pictures and parked my car where I got the ticket, so I could show them how NOT fair this was. I ended up having to come back a few days later, and the lady aggreed that I should'nt have got a ticket, and she would take care of it. So, I figured it was over........
A week ago, the girls noticed some construction workers diging out some street signs and putting in some new ones. When they asked why they were doing this, and what were they adding, they said "Well, apparently the officers of norman don't know how handicap signs work, so we are putting in 2 new ones that clearly state that ONLY the concrete area is for the handicap. Everything else is city streets, for the public. SO, I was very happy to find out that I got the city of Norman to replace and add 2 signs that made sure I can park there everytime I go over to the girls house. And I will park there every single time, and wave the the handicap people, and laugh at them, because they tried to start some shit, but they lost, because they suck, and I and the city of norman will triumph over them!! MUAHHAHA
Here are some pics:
This one is before the ticket, my car is to the left of the concrete. You can notice that the sign doesnt indicate anything special.
This picture is the after shot, after the construction workers installed the new signs:
This is just a close up of the new sign, that has an arrow that states that the concrete is where the bus can park. The other sign is identical, but the arrow points the other way:
Thats all folks, thanks for listening to my tale. Oh and if you see any handicap people, make sure you kick them in there legs for me.
Huzzah! Gamestop hired me! I start Monday at 5:00!!!
Huzzah! I got a call last night from Kevin, the gamestop manager, and he wants me for an interview on Friday at 2:00!! They are opening a new store across the street from Walmart and im hoping to get a job there. They also have a store in the mall, but ill take whatever I can get. I'm a little worried, I know sometimes they only higher seasonal, and I might only get a shift or two, then they will drop me after christmas. But since they are opening a new store, I hope this changes things. Wish me luck with that, ill have to shine my shoes and dress all fancy.
Not much else is going on, school has been going really well, French 2- i've got a 78, and thats saying something for me, thats the highest grade i've ever had in it. Film Video Studies- I just took a test last week, and im pretty sure I beat the shit out of it, so thats always good. Documentary Film- Took a test today, I was really worried untill I started reading the test, it was 25 questions, thats it, it was a joke, i fucked that test right in the ass. It's the first grade of the 7 weeks, so im glad to know, I prolly did well on it. Macro- it sucks and the grading isnt fair, fuck macro. Ill get into that another time.
I don't have much to talk about. Gonna listen to the new Pinback as I sleep.
Dream 2- This one is really weird.
I started off the page with "first part unknown” I had dreamed something connected with the 2nd part but forgot what it was, so I started writing what I could remember. There was this dragon and my dad wanted to fight it, or he had to fight it. He said it was going to come to our house so we had to leave (wherever we were). I wanted to dress up in armor, or find something to defend myself with, but I didn’t have anything. I recall something about wanting to buy something at Wal-Mart, a plastic spear or some kind of silly shield with holes in it, thinking "hrm, I don’t think this is fireproof” We went to some place with bleachers, and my dad was called into fight, and as he is leaving to walk off into this area the bleachers were not apart of, I get kicked out of the bleachers, just kind of disappeared. I walked back up some announcer guy came out, for some reason I think was the dragon, or represented him, because I was really afraid of him. He said "Him, the little boy", so I had to fight the dragon now. I went over to my dad, who now has turned into Joe Walker. I asked him how the fight was, and what should i do to fight it. He gave me his sword, and showed me some of his cuts and scratches from the fight. I remember being really afraid of the fire. Then I woke up.
Yeah, I don't know how this dream could have many meanings, I think Ashley summed it all up when she said "you play too many video games” but as we all know, she is terribly wrong. I love my video games, and I hope I dream more about dragons. How about that. Fool.
