There have been some wispers around the OEF network the past few days... Guild Wars is out now, a FREE MMORPG that rewards skill more than levels and hours played. A new MMO system that eliminates any annoying thing from an MMO completley. Can't find a full party? Just recruit some computer AI to come along with you and your other buddies. No compitition for farming, the main stretches of land between zones are barren, only for you and your team. Each quest and instance are created for your party alone. And they have taken the best part of City of Heros, when you are in a town, and a specific number of people have entered the town, it creates a series of other "zones" that you can switch between depending on where you party is located. And there is only one American server, so it doesnt matter if we create on a specific server, this will allow us to play with people we meet after we start playing, like with my friends from work.
I havent actually played guild wars since beta weekend back in November, but I had fun then, and I've been hearing lots of cool/good things. I still enjoy WoW, but it might be fun to try something new, with more of us playing it would be fun. I hope to see the LAN house picking up this game, Max, JayJay, Adam and Token, and I'm sure Erik and Joe will pick it up too. I just hope to get JP to pick it up, and maybe even Pepe since he deleted his freaking character (sigh) anyways.
I finished my paper and I don't feel like spell checking this update or even rereading it so fuck off.
Sounds interesting, we'll see what all I have time for this summer. I'm sure I'll have free time, though I got to work on a LEGO film thingy for my sister's wedding.

I bought the collector's edition for 80 bucks and I regret nothing, because my hands glow when I dance. I also got a logitech headset and a free three month subscription to teamspeak just in case I want to talk to the other eight people who got special edition. It also came with a cool hardcover art book that I'm not going to look at and some other stuff I probably won't use much, but I still think it's worth it because my hands glow hen I dance, I could play the game eight years from now and start dancing and my hands will be glowing still.
Guild Wars seems like it's gonna be the next diablo II, it's got a shitload of players right now, it's very easy to group with people... It's just more fun than diablo to me, it's got everything good that diablo has but it's updated to today's standards, and adds a lot of mmorpg-like features that make you feel like you're playing an mmorpg even when you're soloing.
I would post this on my site but my movable type doesn't work and I really don't care.
