Hooray for Cable!

Cable man came today, I have access to the rest of the world again. Yay.

Turns out we got a plain HD box, no pvr functionality built in, no biggie. The back has a firewire port which will allow me to run it to a computer to record anything i want to off SD or HD digital channels, sweet! I am 99% sure that the pay per view stuff is encrypted and I can’t record that, oh well. It’s good to be back in touch and I hope everyone is enjoying the last bit of their break. Be careful if you are traveling in town today, looks like the roads are getting icy.

    yay for broadband. Hope you enjoy it!!! boo for icy roads, good thing I only work less than a block away.

    That’s cool that you might be able to record stuff.

    Puhlease, the roads are only barely icy. I know cause I wasn’t able to have any fun on them.
