Lease

Tuesday, December 28th, 2004

Signed the lease for the apartment today, we will pick up the keys on Friday, good times. Hopefully we will get everything setup same day and be moved in and happy by that night. The cool thing is I am off the next three days but then I will end up working the next 5. Give and take, that just seems to be the way it goes.

I ordered a new monitor and picked out something different than I had decided on last week. I went with something cheaper than an LCD to save money for other apartment things.

My New Monitor

This thing should roll in on Thursday, can’t wait to plug it in and see how it does. Thanks to everyone that chipped in on it, it means a lot since I have “had” the money to purchase it but have been saving it for Christmas presents as well as preparing to move out of the house. Getting a gift as nice as this really meant a lot… thanks guys!

Time to sleep for work.

< 4 Hours Of Sleep

Sunday, December 26th, 2004

I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas holiday and recieved some great gifts. I enjoyed my day off and it was nice to get a breather from my busy work schedule. I work tomorrow at 6 am so it’s time for sleep now since I am not going to get that much. However I am not tired since I decided to wonder out of bed around 1 pm today, hopefully tomorrow won’t suck.

I will see everyone at the apartment tomorrow after 3pmish.

Last Bit of Christmas Shopping

Thursday, December 23rd, 2004

Morning all, I am about to head out to finish up the last bit of my christmas shopping. Luckily I only have a few things left to pickup so hopefully it will not take very long. I hope I don’t freeze to death with how cold it is outside, brrrrr. Today will be my last day at work until after christmas, yay! Everyone have a good day and hopefully I will get to see JP tonight.

Tis The Season

LAN is in full effect, we are tucked away in a corner of Adam and James’s apartment and right now it seems that FFXI and WoW are dominating. I still have a tiny amount of christmas shopping left to do before the holidays are here this weekend. Work has been quite crappy lately as I have been staying late quite often, no fun there. WoW has been treating a little nicely but I have had so little time to play that I have not really progressed that much. I will be glad when I have free time again to enjoy life and not work all the damn time =(.

Off to the slave pits again, whee.

Addictions

Tuesday, December 14th, 2004

WoW has been a huge addiction for me, whenever I have free time i seem to be firing it up. This game has been extremely rewarding so far but I am already nearly halfway to the level cap, hope that isn’t a bad thing.

Here is a link to a server status page that is simpler than the flashy one they use.

Other than that I ordered my father’s christmas present — enough parts to build him a decent comp. Some of the parts are going to be hand me downs from me but he is getting some nice corsair ram and an uber 16x dual format dual layer dvd burner.

I will more than likely be lan bound starting tomorrow, computer parts will arrive then and I will assemble the new stuff over at the apartment.

Speaking of apartments I will be moving out at the end of the month. Matt and I picked out which apartment it will be and we picked ourselves a winner I hope. 1st floor, new carpet, new tile, new appliances. It will be exciting to finally be moving out and to be paying for all my own stuff.

Good luck to everyone with finals and I hope to see everyone soon for some WoW and HL2DM!

Money -> JayPee + Erik’s new wheels

Hey — JP is cool and he asked me to post this.

Memo

================
To:      JP’s Friends
From:  JP
Re:      Webservers
================
    Hello everyone. This is just a short memo about the webservers that everyone uses. You might be wondering why I’m having this posted on someone else’s blog, instead of mine. Well, the answer is simply because certain head figures in my household do not think I should “loan” money out, and, since this concerns money, I figured I would just rather not have them read this.
    Currently, I run two webservers with domains for everyone. One of these is OEFNetwork, the other is BigAmericanParty. One is for gaming (which I am sure will be expanded to include World of Warcraft now) and the other is for your personal blogs. The cost for each of these is the same. $94 for the webserver and $15 for the domain name. This comes to a cost of $109 yearly for each, or $218 in total.
    Now I don’t mind fronting the money much at all for these, but I also wouldn’t mind some help in paying for them. I remember when BAP came about, people were planning on helping with it, but that never seemed to happen. I would just appreciate some help with it, especially considering I am currently $400 in the hole for A-Kon still.
    I realize it may appear that I have the most money out of all of us, but that is only because of how I manage it. Anyways, if you would like to contribute towards the webservers, that would receive my thanks. 109 divided by 5 is only about 22 bucks a year(less than 2 bucks a month).

- JP

So yeah, pay for webspace, and if you owe him money from a-kon — please pay him up (I hope I paid him back… I think I did.)

I sorta helped Erik screw nuts onto his car as he installed his new rims, they look great and he has really really good taste, good job Erik. The investment he made in the wheels was a good one as it makes his car go from pretty damn cool to awesome. Hopefully he will stay away from evil evil curbs for awhile and won’t scratch those new things up.

If anyone can think of a cool guild name that would be awesome, so keep your creative caps on.

Speaking of which, time for some WoW.
