AMD64
Yay, new comp for me. I ordered the parts for my new computer and I have just finished getting 64 bit linux somewhat squared away. Things load a lot faster and the compile really hauled, but the experience isn’t that much different really. I look forward to slapping an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro in this thing and see it really haul down the road. System has been super stable as well and I didn’t hit any snags, hooray.
I downloaded the beta of xp 64 bit edition but haven’t bothered to install it yet, I will let people know if it is worth their time or not.
Comp Specs
Asus K8v SE Deluxe
Athlon 64 3200+
512MB Corsair PC2700 running at 400 mhz
Geforce 4 TI4200
120gb wd ata 133 hd
Things on the comp upgrade list are…..
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
Dual Layer DVD Burner
Ram
Monitor
Video card will be happening before doom3 but the rest won’t be anytime soon.
Other than the comp upgrade life hasn’t really been that interesting lately, just slaving away at wal-mart. Time to keep installing stuff…

I’d think monitor would be higher up O.O
Sounds like a good system, you shoulda gotten the 72gig serial ata!!
DVD burners seem to cost nothing nowadays.
It would be nice if windows 64 would no longer be beta, but who knows when that will happen.
